CHAPITRE QUATRE: SWORD & SORCERY
Ce quatrième chapitre, tranché en trois parties, est consacré à un sous-genre de la fantasy que l’on nomme la SWORD & SORCERY, ce qui signifie épée et sorcellerie. D’abord littéraire, il a permis de voir émerger des héros comme CONAN, JIREL de JOIRY, ELRIC ou FAFHRD & GREY MOUSER.
Puis, au début des années 80 et suite au succès de film comme STAR WARS, EXCALIBUR et CLASH OF THE TITANS, c’est au cinéma que l’on voit les aventures de guerriers et guerrières s’offrirent à nos yeux dans un feu d’artifice de sang et de sueur…. Et aussi d’huile pour les muscles…
Je vous propose de découvrir les musiques de films plus ou moins douteux, de jeux-vidéos parfois intelligents et de séries télévisés pas toujours inspirées, afin de vous plonger dans ses récits tantôt épiques et tantôt franchement nanardesques.
Cette deuxième partie examine la fin de la vague des années 80 au cinéma, quarante ans de jeux vidéos et quelques tentatives maladroites de résurrection
